I'm Nate. I live in Iowa, and I built this site because finding a meat processor shouldn't take six phone calls.

If you've ever had a deer in the truck bed and no idea who was taking them this year, or sold half a beef and needed a kill date before winter, you know the problem. The shops are out there — good ones, some third-generation — but there's no decent way to find them. Search engines show you whoever bought ads. The state lists are PDFs nobody reads.

So I pulled the public records myself: the federal FSIS inspection directory, plus each state's licensing lists. Then I started checking listings by hand — calling shops, reading websites, fixing what the records got wrong. It's slow. That's sort of the point.

The Midwest comes first on purpose. It's where I live, where the lockers are, and where the need is biggest. Other regions can wait until this is done right.
